born Kellie Dawn Pickler on June 28 1986 Pickler experienced a turbulent childhood. She was abandoned by her mother at the age of two to escape from an abusive relationship. In 1995, she was returned to her world as Pickler and obtained the custody rights. However, it wasn't as was planned. When Pickler was 12, the judge returned her to her grandmothers, who brought her up to adulthood. Pickler was, in the absence of her parents and older siblings, became too distracted in school to pursue studies. Pickler said there was no time for learning, she was forced to learn how to cook and wash at a young in her life. Pickler was a member of the cheerleading squads at both her high school and middle school. North Stanly High School, which she attended from 2004 when she graduated, was her alma mater.
