Andra Day and Andi Matichak

Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day, is an American R&B/Soul songwriter and singer. The singer has received numerous awards including the Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nominations for the Academy Award. Andra Day is a ferocious musician and artist who is not just a throwback R&B specialist her roots in gospel jazz and the blues she performs with grace and finesse are passed on to the current. The album she released her debut Cheers to the Autumn (2015) was a smash hit in the R&B/hiphop genre that earned her a host of Grammy and Academy Award nominations. Stand Up for Something (2017) was her contribution to Marshall's soundtrack earned both accolades. Amen, the singles Make Your Troubles Away and The United States Versus Billie Holiday each have singles creating anticipation ahead of the release of her second album. Andra Day was born Cassandra Monique Batie and grew in Edmonds Washington. While in San Diego, she attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts as well as performed in churches. Following the graduation ceremony, she began to explore contemporary R&B music, jazz and pop however, she was enticed back into the soul and jazz performers of the past. Kai Millard Morris recorded a show of Day, and later gave her husband Stevie Wonder some of Day's songs. The Motown legend then connected Day with industry veteran Adrian Gurvitz. Day is a close ally to Gurvitz as well as Jeffrey Evans Buskin Label Day and became a YouTube phenomenon and later signed with Warner Bros. In 2012 Day released Forever Mine as her debut song on YouTube. The song quickly picked up and played on radio by many DJs. After signing in 2015 in 2015 with Warner Bros. Records she began working on her debut album Cheers to The Fall, featuring Adrian Gurvitz. The track "Rise Up" was a hit worldwide within social justice movements. Day has received two Grammy nominations including Best R&B Album. She dropped The United States Vs. Billie Holiday in 2019, a concept record about the life and work of the jazz icon Billie Holiday. She also starred in The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a film about Holiday. Andi Mathichak was born in the US. She started her career on TV series like Orange Is the New Black 666 Park Avenue and Blue Bloods. Her first film role was in the role of Allyson in the horror series Halloween. Andi matichak is an American actress, born 03 May 1994 Framingham in Massachusetts.
